Malaysia has been on a Movement Control Order (MCO) for more than 2 weeks as of writing this article. We have since received more updates on the development of the situation and further movement restrictions within the country itself.

The new update and development on the situation involves restriction of movements from West Malaysia to East Malaysia. Restricting people and cargo movements to and fro.

The new update has imposed a restriction on cargo movements and allowing ONLY essential cargo such as food items, medical products & garments to be able to cross state and city borders of Sabah and Sarawak, with the main port of entry in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. Deliveries and transportation outside of the city limits are limited and will prohibit our ability to deliver parcels to those affected areas.

Due to the restrictions and difficulties of operation in Malaysia, we will continue to cease operations and will only be operating for relief goods only until further notice.

If you have any ongoing parcels into Malaysia, we will maximise our efforts to deliver them and in compliance with the law, will hold any parcels restricted from transport within our warehouses free of charge until the MCO is lifted.

If you have bulk freight or relief goods that need to be moved into Malaysia, Aersure has set up a response team to deal with these shipments in this difficult time, you may contact us and we will do our best to ensure your goods continue to move!
