Indonesia has decided to extend its PSBB or Large Scale Social Distancing measures to 22 May 2020. The reason for this extension is due to the inefficiency of the measures to curb the spread of the virus. This now includes a Phase 2 restrictions on movement of people and vehicles.

Starting 24 April 2020, all personal vehicles (both motorcycles and cars) are not allowed to enter or exit the JABODETABEK or Greater Jakarta area. All vehicles attempting to cross the border of Greater Jakarta will be turned away. This is to stop the people from returning to their hometown amidst the Ramadan period.

Furthermore, the government has announced that its cancelling all international and domestic flights in order to further control the spread from the 24th of April to the 1st of June. What this means is that while airports and aircrafts will remain open and flights will still be able to land and take off from airports, but there will be more flights cancelled in light of the new restrictions.

Aersure is currently still unaffected by this new measures and continues to operate as per normal. In order to continue to support supply chains, we will be looking towards chartering flights to fill gaps within our supply chain wherever possible. Domestic deliveries remain unaffected as the restrictions will not apply to parcel and cargo movement. However, do expect some delays in shipping as flights continue to be restricted.

We hope you stay safe during this time and apart, we will overcome this together.
